Main themes in Lauren Hillebrandt’s work are boredom, daily routine and the everyday life. By forcing objects into new scenarios, she tries to reinvent their original purpose, achieving a sense of absurdism that parallels her paradoxical feelings towards a ‘daily, normal life’ of which she often gets fed up or bored with. Thereby Hillebrandt tries to create a world that suits her imagination.
