ZEITGUISED | Sebastian Zimmerhackl
- Words
- Anna Dorothea Ker
We often stumble upon artworks that stem from the same idea but have very different visual outcomes. That’s why we set up our ‘Two of a Kind’ series – to see how two artists working with the same materials transform them in their own unique way.
This time we gave a tub of bubbles, a bunch of skewers and a roll of shiny blue ribbon to art and design studio ZEITGUISED and artist-designer Sebastian Zimmerhackl, both based in Berlin. See what they came up with below…

ZEITGUISED
ZEITGUISED describes itself as a synthetic art and design studio providing consultancy, creative direction and production. We’ve featured their work previously on iGNANT. Speaking of their ‘Two of a Kind’ project, the studio says, “We ‘homogenized’ the very diverse shapes and textures of the original objects by making a digital negative, like a cast of these forms, in a synthetic material. The set features box moulds for parts of a soap bubble dispenser, soap bubbles, wooden sticks, paper tape curls and loops.”
