Faber Franco’s images are dreamy, fragile, and seem melancholic, as if from a child’s fantasy. Sometimes staring into the distance, posing shyly, then again looking straight into the camera the Colombian photographer and graphic designer guides us into a different world – his world.
Portraying himself gives him the chance to visualize and capture things that cross his mind. Charming us with a sense of something unfathomable in front of the camera as behind the camera, Faber Franco hides in his own small world, full of small airplanes horses and birds. His compositions appear makeshift, sometimes metaphorical but largely self-explanatory never quite unveiling Franco himself completely.
