A young Taiwanese photographer, Cielo Yu searches for spontaneous visual discoveries, experimenting with various compositions and color combinations.
Studying at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Yu lives and works in Taipei, Taiwan. Diverse in their form of expression, Yu’s photographs mainly show young girls in mysterious poses, covering their faces and incorporating themselves into the landscape. Shot on film, the photographs are sometimes playful, sometimes nostalgic, but all of them carry a unique quality of the work created by an experimenting artist. With her endless flow of ideas, Yu seems not to be afraid to experiment and see things from different perspective, again and again.
