Elena Capra’s latest series ‘libro di famiglia’ (family register) is the narration of 40 years of marriage and at the same time a metaphor of an evolution of the abrasion of everyday’s life. They show pure sceneries with simple objects or just a man or a woman standing still. Her photographs get along without any overloaded emotionality or activity. Instead, ‘Day after day small gestures become motifs and objects become symbols, pieces of a life together that is spent apart,’ Elena explains. This series is also available as a book, for more information make sure to check out her Tumblr.
