American fine art photographer Zack Seckler shot a series of abstract aerial landscapes of Iceland from a plane built by the pilot himself.
Building on his series of aerial photos of African plains, Seckler turned his lens to the most remote areas of Iceland, many of which are only accessible by air. The resulting images are minimal, abstract and almost dream-like, presenting a rare overhead view of the oft-photographed country. Having originally studied psychology, the photographer has a client list including Apple, Google and New York Magazine, and his work has received a plethora of press coverage and awards. His latest series of awe-inspiring images will be exhibited in a solo show in Manhattan from March 2016.
