German designer and self-taught photographer Maik Lipp takes a clean, graphic approach to cityscape photography in his ongoing “Mixed Minimal” series.
“The simplicity and the calm embodied by the buildings is what I love.”
Based in Frankfurt, Lipp is drawn to clean lines, smooth textures and symmetry, capturing architectural elements against broad blue sky backdrops. Speaking of his artistic philosophy, he says, “The simplicity and the calm embodied by the buildings is what I love. And this is what I want to convey in my photographs.”
