A Tinted Tunnel By Matteo Fogale And Laetitia de Allegri

Words

London designers Laetitia de Allegri and Matteo Fogale installed a tinted tunnel at the V&A Museum for the London Design Festival. Entitled “Mise-en-abyme”, the installation was consisted of tinted, transparent acrylic frames, inviting visitors crossing the bridge across the museum’s Medieval and Renaissance galleries to experience a gradual change in perspective. Speaking of their intention behind the work, the designers explained: “What we wanted from the start was to create an experiment. Something that was not just a piece of design to look at but also an experience for the visitor. We tried to match the work with the materials, themes and colours at the location and so took the inspiration from the V&A itself.”
