Finnish cabinet maker Antrei Hartikainen has designed the ‘Bastone Collection’ for the Helsinki-based Poiat Studio: an oakwood cabinet and sideboard that cements the studio’s reputable place in Finland’s contemporary design scene.

Both furniture pieces are made of solid oak, and are available in stained black or a natural oak color. The range features an open front and space between each panel of wood, enabling a transparent design. “The ‘Bastone Collection’ moves naturally in the frontier of art and design”, said Hartikainen, “and showcases filtered light and reflections of shades, as well [as an] appreciation of craftsmanship”.
