Comprising a mixture of fashion, travel and commercial work, Chris Schonoover’s photographs are diverse in style but have one thing in common – while avoiding technical perfection, they’re all still visually striking.
“I’m not interested in correctness or making a particularly masterful image.”Schoonover’s career actually started as a “fun little Instagram account,” as he calls it. However, he enjoyed his hobby more and more over time, and it eventually grew to a profession. Living in New York City today, he has been worked for such clients as Everlane, VSCO, GAP and Google. Whether it’s an arranged fashion portrait or a just a spontaneous backstage snapshot, Chris’s focus is to isolate the in-between moments. He says: “I’m not interested in correctness or making a particularly masterful image. I use the imperfections that the camera provides as a tool within the medium of photography.”
