Dinesen engages with natural materials and quality products, with more than a 120 year long history of designing bespoke wood solutions. Their latest collection was designed by the niche studio Design Studies, a Danish duo dedicated to discovering new possibilities in nature’s materials through design and production. “The ambition driving the Dinesen Collection is to create furniture that combines aesthetic design with experiences that promote well-being, activating our senses while strengthening our bond with nature,” shares designer Mikkel Vestergarrd. The pieces were directly inspired by Dinesen’s brand DNA and its iconic plank, a recurring feature throughout the collection.
‘Dinesen Collection’ consists of eight products, including five individual pieces of furniture, finished furniture planks, an interior scent named DD-2, and Dinesen Bricks made of surplus wood to be used as decorative objects or as cutting and serving boards. “The eight products contribute to a harmonious and vibrant atmosphere, bringing a touch of aesthetic beauty and becoming a natural and familiar part of our everyday ceremonies,” reads a statement from the firm. Meant to last for generations and provide a setting for life that brings people together, the classic designs “will only grow more beautiful as time leaves its imprint on the wood and other materials.”
