The vibrant work of Swedish photographer Benjamin Vnuk is a considered blend of fine art, high fashion and portraiture; showing flair and versatility that surpasses many in the industry.
Vnuk works as a photographer based in Paris, and has shot editorials for some of the biggest names in the publishing industry, including British Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as campaigns for Givenchy and Danse Lente. Creating work that is both timeless and on-trend is difficult, yet Vnuk’s forward-thinking fashion editorials are equally modern, sophisticated and fresh. Starting out, Vnuk first assisted the Swedish photographer Mikael Jansson, who himself worked with the late Richard Avedon—one of the most sought-after fashion photographers in history. Naturally there may be a trickling-down of influence from both, however, Vnuk has asserted his own original style through images that explore light, shape, and shadow with imagination. Vnuk’s forthcoming print publication, March Et July, is a collaborative personal project with Swedish model, Adela Stenberg. The publication documents “what happened between March and July in 2018”, and is “framed with an ambition to create beautiful and peculiar images.” For more information on March Et July, click here.
