Amsterdam-based design studio We Smell The Rain aims at closing the gap between nature and the city with beautiful indoor floating plants, called Kokedamas.
“Bonsais for the poor” is how the Japanese call these not at all poor-looking Kokedamas made of balls of moss, holding an ornamental plant. “Like small planets, the Kokedama we make are eco-systems in and of themselves, and just like the planet at large, they require specific care and attention in order to thrive”, the design studio says. You can purchase the plants here.
