Os & Oos’ Primary Fluorescents Cast Edition collection combines ostensively contrasting materiality with essential geometric elements. The name is a combination of the fluorescent nature of the gasses that create light and the forms such as circle, square and triangle, that build the final shapes.
The circle form can be hanged up on walls whereas the triangle and square are intended for surfaces, as they have flat bottoms. The fusion of linear illuminated components, together with the aluminum cast bases, are made with the idea of opposites. Initially conceived in 2012, and completed in 2016, the prototype for this series was inspired by foam sorts, usually used for packaging. Henceforth, this could solve certain design problems by combining hard and fragile materials together.
