100 Women Into 1 Face

Throughout the process, Cartagena photographs women bare in –her preference of– natural environments whilst inspired by lighting, framing, and colors. With pictures of 100 women the artist will make a large-scale collage and shape the face of a single woman. Cartagena accounts for her work, “I assume the artistic practice from everyday experience and from objects that relate to the body, with the space and with women.”
