In her work, Canadian photographer Lissy Elle captures dreamy fine art photographs featuring fantastical and surreal elements, from people getting lost in their favorite children’s books to gracefully floating in mid-air.
“Photography quickly became an escape from the trials of adolescence, and an excuse to soldier on.”Living and working in New York City, Elle’s work has appeared in publications such as fashion, photography and literary magazines.. Her photographs are exhibited in galleries worldwide. In a statement about her work, she says: “I discovered photography as an art-form when I was 13. It quickly became an escape from the trials of adolescence, and an excuse to soldier on […] to forge, through art, a place for yourself in the world and fight tooth and nail to stay there.”
