Vortex is a project about Rodrigo Dada’s personal crisis and the human ability to regenerate, to rise from our ashes. The photographer undertakes an existential journey in the contemporary world through the absurd. It’s about finding a meaning within the meaningless, with an irony of daily situations and a criticism of our alienated and individualist society where the frontier between sanity and madness narrows. Dada’s work reflects absurd situations, especially the relation between people and objects. He creates stills, inspired by the cinematic language: the people portrayed are caught in their daily struggle of finding a meaning in their lives, trying to reach the perfect balance.
