Photographers Erell Hemmer and Cléo-Nikita Thomasson explored the country of ‘ice and land’ and detailed their trip into two visions: “island of land and ice.”

Melancholic landscape shots create a poem, that the photographers hint within the story’s paired photos. Vibrant earth tones told true by the analog film used; the ‘floating’ clouds bringing viewers right to the top of the mountain…

“In a frozen horizon, seemingly humanless, wandering is the key.”“Iceland stop is a trip. It’s two visions of an island made of soil and ice. In September 2015, me and my friend Erell decided to hitchhike and outdoor camp to Iceland. We perceived a silent landscape, which led to peculiar photographs, utterly disconnected from reality. In a frozen horizon, seemingly humanless, wandering is the key.”
