For the series ‘Multifaceted’, Korean photographer Ahn Sun Mi created surreal self-portraits featuring bizarre poses and powerful facial expressions. By overlaying images of plants and other natural elements, her photographs inhabit a dream-like touch and play with the viewer’s perception of textures. On the inspiration behind the series, the 27-year-old photographer states: “I wanted to understand myself, but at the same time I didn’t want to escape reality. I felt like a child inside but who acted like a grown up.”
