A Plant-Covered Sustainable Home In Portugal

Words

Designed by Luís Rebelo de Andrade, Tiago Rebelo de Andrade and Manuel Cachão Toja, ‘House in Travessa Do Patrocinio‘ is a residential home with a striking facade covered with living plants. The single family house, located in the heart of Lisbon, features a vertical garden that has more than 4,500 plants and takes up 100 square meters. In a statement, the architects say, “Different fragrances are spread through the four floors. For example, in the swimming pool you will have the flavor of saffron, in the bedroom, lavender, in the living-room, rosemary.”
