Empty Chairs by Faisal Al Fouzan
- Hannah Edwards
Kuwait based Faisal Al Fouzan is a self taught photographer, who finds his inspiration in all forms of art. Considering his camera as an extension of himself, he captures his observations and preserves them forever. His recent project ‘Empty Chairs’ aims at capturing empty chairs and their environments. ‘Through these images I examine the relationship between the empty chair and its surrounding. Each image tells a story, where the chair is the narrator and protagonist, speaking of its past inhabitant and its context.’ Faisal Al Fouzan leaves every photographed scene as it is and untouched, preserving the authenticity of the chaotic ensemble.
