Troilo

Words

Troilo was born in Taranto, Italy, in 1972. A few years ago he decided to translate his drawings into paintings and he went to buy all the tools he needed. Being back home, he realized that brushes were missing, so he started to paint with his fingers.

With his artworks, he tries to express the uncomfortable condition of a human being trapped in the void, where the rules of society are invalid. No dresses, no colors, no objects, just the essence of our free instinct, liberated from useless accessories, built by unnecessary needs of an agonizing pop establishment. He tells us: ‘my mother taught me two things, the pure pleasure of drawing and the fact that, if I fall, although there are those who feel sorry for me, the pain affects only me and no one else’.
