Together with ceramicist Marc Vidal, Basque designer Martín Azúa has created a project titled simply: ‘Vase With Stone’.
In this collection of sculptural pieces, the ceramic body of the vase is distorted by the placement of a single stone. The clay collection is characterized by clean lines, the smooth form of each piece is inset with a Colera stone from Costa Brava in Catalonia. The textural quality of the stones against the even and regular surface of the vase offers a superb juxtaposition designed to mimic that which exists in nature.
