‘Bichos’ is Martinho Pita’s first adventure in the product-design world. Educated as an architect, he learned the process of transforming wood into lamps from his father, who is an artist. Thus the Portuguese architect decided to design a series of lamps, reusing a number of branches, obtained from pruning.

The lamps called Bichos – which in Portuguese means ‘creatures’ – are handmade, each a unique item that appears animated, as if it was a fantastical creature frozen in movement.
