Tambour Table

The table top of industrial designer Michael Bambino’s personal computer table ‘Tambour Table’ can be gently pushed away to reveal power, USB connections and compartments that allow to store items quickly and clear under the table surface.
The table is a cable management system by heart, thus plugged in wires can be maneuvered into the cutout in the tabletop, keeping all wire protected and out of sight, while the tambour of the tabletop allows it to stand against the wall. The Brooklyn based designer has updated the traditional rolling-door mechanism by setting the slats at slight angles and created a very minimalist and simple form for clever storage solutions.
