Book Paintings by Ekaterina Panikanova

Artist Ekaterina Panikanova creates densely layered paintings using old books and other documents as her canvas. Her work ranges somewhere between painting, installation and collage. The ink and acrylic paintings often show nostalgic scenes mixed with images of cakes, animals and vintage items. We’d actually like to know if there is a connection between the stories told in the books and the world Ekaterina Panikanova is creating in her paintings.
