Flesh By Edie Nadelhaft

New York-based artist Edie Nadelhaft series ‘Flesh’ of oil paintings was created through exploring the human’s biological surfaces. The hyperrealistic paintings take reference from photographs of the artist’s hands blown out of proportion. Behind these rather disturbing paintings stands a strong message of ‘vitality and vulnerability that characterize the human’s physical existence’, which is slowly disappearing with the digital age.
