Attaboys by Gregor Gaida

Germany based artist, Gregor Gaida often creates sculpture work based around the aggressive or emotional acts of mankind. Also his work ‘Attaboys’ deals with agression, violence and destruction. The name originates from the slang expression ‘That’s the boy!’, ‘at-ta boy’, used in the US in sports and in the services.

It shows two boys that scratch a straight line of chalk into the floor. The line separates and linkes the two at the same time. They are constructed like a mirror image, positioned on opposite sides of the room.
