Twenty-two year old illustrator Pete Sharp draws his inspiration for his most recent work not only from medieval illustration but also craft from the orient. With his vivacious illustrations, he investigates sexual repression and representation in an attempt to depict contrasting sexual cultures. Utilizing a limited yet vibrant color pallet on a white background he creates gripping images. Many of his images are designed in a manner that gives him the opportunity to reproduce them either as hand pulled screen prints or machine-produced risographs. He has recently graduated from Brighton University with a degree in Illustration, and has begun producing surreal photographic and 3D work over the past year.
