The Nuremberg-based artist Gerhard Mayer creates large scale wallpieces, using China ink and his own mathematical rules. He is into elementary particles and physics for a long time now and he develops his works following strict regularities. Though you don’t have to be a mathematician to enjoy his drawings where dots and lines converge just to explode in various forms a second later. Still his works have this appealing irregularity that makes you look a little longer, trying to understand what you grasp with your own eyes. The lines and dots seem to drift slowly from the wall into the space.
