The design studio ‘dua collection’ from Cologne creates lamps that seem to be made out of folded paper, but actually it is concrete. The two designers Aust and Amelung take advantage of the characteristics of concrete to precisely display the surface of the utilized formwork. Paper was used as a shaping element and by loving handcraft each finished lampshade develops individuality through their own idiosyncratic edges, kinks and creases.
