Diary of a Girl

“We want to explore the current zeitgest of how photographers tend to curate their photo stories today. They utilize the digital process of curating photos on a monitor, as opposed to physically arranging printed photographs on a wall. As a result, we have a proliferation of photo stories today that feel like physical photo albums due to very specific use of white negative space – despite the reality that the specific use of negative space inside a photo series was rarely utilized with analogue technology when full bleeds were the norm. Not quite digital, not quite analogue – I am excited to see how new technology affects the way photographers showcase their work and “Diary of a Girl” is a commentary on that.” Photography by Kenji O (@kenj_o) / Creative Direction, Artwork and Modeled by Tessa Burton (@HelloTessa) / HMUA by Syd Helmsley (@Syddagzy) / Styled by Quayn Pedroso (@Coquayn)
