Minimal Pastel Photography By Jennifer Cheng
- Jessica Jungbauer
Jennifer Cheng creates minimal pastel photographs, which she mainly showcases on her Instagram. Her work ranges from editorial fashion shoots to urban photography, yet always carries her style of simple compositions and straight lines.
In a statement about her attitude towards photography, she says: “Several people have told me that no matter what you take photos of, in some way/shape/form it will end up being a self-portrait. I don’t know if I consider myself a photographer, but as I continue to collect photos I’m starting to see recurring themes in what I choose to shoot. I’m interested in things related to modernity – functional, man-made, impersonal objects, and how isolated people relate to that.”
