Alma Haser creates intriguing portraits by folding origami structures over original same-size photo portraits. We love how she switches dimensions, creating a 2D picture out of our 3D reality, just to transform it into something plastic again and back into a flat photograph. The resulting series ‘Cosmic Surgery’ has a surreal, kaleidoscopic appeal, drawing focus to the detail.
