Minimal Magazine Racks Inspired By The Line

Spanish interior and furniture designer Álvaro Díaz Hernández presented his Wire Collection at Ventura Lambrate during the 2016 Salone del Mobile in Milan. Consisting of the Linea magazine holder, the Linea storage system and the Minus magazine stand, the range was created from lacquered iron rods, welded together in stable forms. Offering a multitude of uses, the pieces – which were inspired by the line – are at once functional and decorative. “The design allows the user to be creative with its functionality,“ explains Hernández, “allowing surfaces to be manifiested from books, magazines and other objects.“ Guided by an aesthetic defined by simplicity, functionality and attention to detail, Hernández works in the space between architecture and abstraction to create functional, timeless products.
