The Fragility Of Nature Captured By Daniel Beltrá

Scroll

Spanish Photographer Daniel Beltrá’s passion for environmental conservation is evident in his stirring images of the natural world.

“The unique perspective of aerial photography helps emphasize that the Earth and its resources are finite.”Through Beltrá’s work, the transience of our ecosystem is reflected. His most distinctive large-scale photos are shot from the air. This perspective gives the viewer a wider context of the beauty and the destruction of nature.”The unique perspective of aerial photography helps emphasize that the earth and its resources are finite.” After two months of photographing the Deepwater Horizon Gulf Oil Spill, he produced many visually alarming images of the man-made disaster.

Over the past two decades, Beltrá’s photography has taken him to all seven continents, including several expeditions to the Brazilian Amazon, the Arctic, the Southern Oceans and the Patagonian ice fields. He finds inspiration in the complexity of nature. As a result, he creates pictures that are horrifying and beautiful at the same time. Through his work as a nature photographer, he wants to cultivate a deeper appreciation for our planet.
