For the duration of 2016, Italian designer Matteo Cibic will release one new vase with a nose per day as part of ‘VasoNaso’, a light-hearted pottery project that pays tribute to the Italian painter Girogio Morandi.
“When two pots meet, you can define a relationship between them. You can discover funny couples.”Conceived as a sculptural and chromatic research project into vases, VasoNaso sees Cibic design and create one custom pot per day, which he releases for sale on his website. Speaking of the project, the designer says, “When two pots meet, you can define a relationship between them. You can discover funny couples: some are shamelessly flirting, others are more shy and sing together, others are just hiding behind their noses. My desk suddenly transformed from a physiognomy studio, into a sociological playground.”
