Planet Sculptures Made From Hundreds Of Photographs

Living and working in New York City, architect Isidro Blasco creates intricate sculptures composed of hundreds of photographs taken on his travels over the past seven years.
“My work recreates the architectural space of the whole or a particular section of the build space according to a subjective perception of this environment.”
Blasco’s three-dimensional artworks depict big cities from around the world, constructed from images that were shot from the highest point in the respective locations. Entitled ‘Planets’, the series explores topics such as perception and the way we experience our surroundings. In a statement about his project, Blasco says: “My work recreates the architectural space of the whole or a particular section of the build space according to a subjective perception of this environment. Only from one specific point, that is the point from which the images were shot, can we see and recognize the architectural elements the way they are in the real world.”
