A monochrome solid European Ash series designed for contemporary living. Produced in collaboration with family-run Italian Manufacturer Universal, the collection combines local raw materials and modern engineering processes, paired with traditional craft techniques. Drawing inspiration from the pleasing juxtaposition of architectural elements in the city, Mueller has utilised a simplified line motif to create a sense of harmony across his collection. “I noticed the drain pipes on certain structures had contrasting colours which gave the houses interesting new outlines and enhanced the overall form,” states Mueller. “Clean lines are always referenced in one way or another in my designs and this is setting the tone for future developments, hopefully with some exciting twists.” Stained black ash frames have been chamfered to reveal the untreated ash below, adding an outline effect to the pieces, while the solid whitewashed tops corroborate his clean approach to design.
