A Bar For Two On A Gymnastic Beam By david/nicolas

Beirut-based design studio david/nicolas were commissioned to create a bar for two situated on a gymnastic beam. Entitled ‘Bar Michele’, the piece was created from a variety of materials, such as Iranian white onyx marble, tan leather, polished brass and black metal. Interaction with the beam centres on balance, with seating options including straddling or sitting on either end, with stirrups for leg support and a suite of tables for resting drinks upon. The combination of the playful seating positions the bar offers, and the luxury quality of its materials creates a unique and indulgent drinking experience.
