Illustrated Interview With Cécile Dormeau

Words

French illustrator Cécile Dormeau creates vibrant and playful drawings that explore issues relating to female body image. Her style features bright colors, bold lines and a brilliant sense of humour. Since graduating from design school in Paris, Dormeau has worked at a number of agencies and is now based in Germany. In a statement about her work, she says, “I am fascinated by all kind of girls with different body shapes… Whether that be frustrated girls, strong girls, gross girls, shy girls, idealized girls, girls who don’t care or girls who say ‘fuck you’ with a lovely smile, I try to play with their flaws and emotions with humor in a colorful and fun style.”

We asked her to be a part of our Illustrated Interview series, read the full interview below…
