In her photography mixed media artist Beth Hoeckel is playing with the juxtaposition between foreground and background objects. Her pictures are inhabited by inquisitive figures, often to be found standing on the edges of cliffs, or looking out to lakes. The set up looks somewhat artificial, as if it was some surreal dream. Beth was born and raised in Baltimore USA. She studied Painting, Photography, and Printmaking and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Beth can currently be found working on Collage, Mixed Media, and Photography in Baltimore City.
